Buck Creek Our Home Away From Home

Home Camp

Along with the pride that comes with being a member of Meridian Riding Club comes the pride in keeping the horse camp that we maintain looking beautiful. Nestled between the town of Greenwater, Washington and the Crystal Mountain Ski Resort lies the Buck Creek trail system. It is our pleasure to make a weekend trip around Memorial weekend to camp out at the horse camp and clean these beautiful trails.

MRC Prize Ride

For over 30 years, Meridian Riding Club held and annual Prize Ride. In the beginning it was the Poker Ride, put together to show case the pride in the Buck Creek Trail system and all the work that MRC put into keeping the trails maintained for all. When Covid hit in 2019 the Forest Service was forced to close the Buck Creek/Ranger Creek. The trails took on a very harsh winter that year and the next.  Time took its toll; we could not provide enough volunteers and manpower to clean and clear the trails.  Recently, there has been a great involvement of the Forest Service to help with dangerous trees and rebuilding bridges. We look forward to the help and the progress.
